Pick up at the riad/hotel at 8:00/9:00 and start of our adventure. Departure from Ouarzazate and head towards the route of “The Thousand Kasbah” On the way we will find the town of Skoura, located in the heart of the valley of palm trees. There you can take a walk through the extensive and labyrinthine oasis, whose lush vegetation wraps precious secret kasbahs and you can also visit its kasbah of Amerdil, where you can see how it was once lived in the kasbahs. From here we will continue through the Valley of Roses (famous for the cultivation of them) to the impressive gorges of Dades you will have free time to enjoy the views, then continue along the bank of Boumalne, where a road marked by kasbahs (fortresses or castles) and ksour (fortified citadels), whose landscape is ocher, red and mauve, opens. Around us we will find stony plateaus where the camels graze. After a journey full of ksour, oasis and palm trees .We will arrive at Tinghir, where the spectacular gorges of Todra are perched at 1,350 m altitude and surrounded by a palm grove. Free time to walk through the gorges and through the orchard and the palm grove . Then the trip continue to Erfoud (city of fossils), where we can visit a fossil factory. Then we will pass by Rissani and finally we will arrive at Merzouga, in front of the high dunes of the Erg Chebbi, transfer to the accommodation and take advantage, what remains of the day, to see the sunset and how the dunes change colors. Dinner and breakfast.
Once the breakfast is over, we will travel in 4×4 the tracks that used in the “Rally Paris-Dakar”. We will visit the town of Khamlia, named for the slave trade that brought from the Sudan and we will do the tour for Erg chebbi , and visit the desert nomads with whom we will have tea and we will see the oasis where some movies like “Sahara” were filmed . After the visit at lunch time, we will go to the home of a beberer family, where they will taste typical and traditional food, as well as the rich Al Madfouna (Berber Pizza). After lunch, we head back to the hotel, so they can rest. In the afternoon the camels will wait for us to enter the desert and contemplate an unforgettable sunset. The night will be special, as they will have the opportunity to sleep in a tents surrounded by dunes, as the Berbers do. They will also enjoy a traditional dinner, and after the live drum music next to the bonfire and if there is luck, a starry sky.
Today will be a special day, we recommend enjoying a sunrise in the desert, so this day we will get up early. After contemplating the sunrise, return to the camp for breakfast, and then we return by camel to the Merzouga while we take some rest , you’ll have free time may you want experience a quad ride ( not inclued), then we will leave for Ouarzazate. Passing the Palm Grove of Tafilalet and the town of Rissani (origin of the Alauí dynasty and ancient capital of the Sultans Alauís), where we will make a stop to visit its great traditional market which is considered the largest in all the South of Morocco, then we follow the road to the Valley of the DRRA , where we will visit kasbah of TAMNOGALT this in the heart of the valley of Draa , we cross again the high Atlas . End of the day we will arrival in Marrakech, transfer to your accommodations or the indicated place. END THE TRIP AND OUR SERVICES.
